Rescue Swag: Not just for adventures
Adventure seeker and occupational first-aider Chris Pollock purchased an Adventurer Plus Rescue Swag online for peace of mind on the road but never expected to need the first aid kit at home.
His partner, Rachel, had recently been discharged from the hospital following pacemaker surgery and woke up with blood and fluid seeping under her dressing.
Knowing the wound could easily become infected if left untreated, Chris ran to his car and grabbed his Rescue Swag, which he keeps accessible behind the passenger seat.

“I wasn’t happy with how her wound looked and used the sterile gloves, swabs, steri strips and dressings to clean it up and cover it,” Chris said.
"We went back to the doctor that day, and her heart surgeon complimented me for my first aid care.
“Thanks to my Rescue Swag and my occupational first aid skills, I was able to prevent a small wound from becoming a serious infection.”
Rachel has now recovered from her operation, and the pair are making the most of the long weekends by going camping.
Since using the Rescue Swag, Chris has taken advantage of the additional space in his kit to customise his supplies with extra Band-Aids, a pen and Stingose Spray.
The Adventurer Plus Rescue Swag features three medical modules for the treatment of minor accidents, sprains, snakebites and burns and major injuries, as well as a Rapid Stop Tourniquet and Emergency Trauma Bandage for the most critical situations.
“What I love most about the Rescue Swag is that it has everything you need and is compactible to pack in the car,” Chris said.
“We never go anywhere without it.”
Every Rescue Swag purchased also supports the Royal Flying Doctor Service in delivering lifesaving care to those in need across Australia.
“This was a nice way for us to give back to the Flying Doctor,” he said.
How to refill your Rescue Swag
Ensuring your first aid kits are always up-to-date and well stocked is a must which is why we provide refills for first aid kits should you ever need them.
Our Rescue Swag first aid kits are specifically designed to hold up against the Aussie climate, which means refills are only needed when something is empty, used up, or has simply been sitting for too long.
